back in 2012 I formed this crazy idea of starting my own design company.

I have always had a love for all things art, but it wasn't until the push from a marketing teacher had me explore the digital arts. with the help from her and a college course from CCC, a passion emerged. from there I decided to pursue this idea and attended college with a major in graphic design at Wayne State College. there I was able to explore all things art from throwing a donut teapot to welding a abstract elephant head. through college I continued to create and design freelance work. this prepared me for life after school.
after graduating with my degree I moved to Omaha and decided to set up shop. I began working more and more on freelance jobs and eventually landed my biggest client; Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.  I also took time to focus on my other art and began selling art at the summer street series in Benson. once I became more acclimated to the city I became a member of the Union of Contemporary Art and started doing more pottery. after awhile I decided it was time to focus more on design and got a job with continental graphics in west Omaha.
although I am full time employed I am still open to doing commissioned and freelance jobs to anyone interested. for pricing on any design work (or any art work posted) please email me at julia@designsbyj.art or dm me on instagram. thanks for taking your time to read me!
